A Journey to the Land Beyond the Forest

Welcome to my journey to Transylvania and the 7th International Workshops of the Drama Schools of the ITI-UNESCO Chair of Theatre and Culture of Civilizations in Sinaia, Romania. While there I will be attending several conferences, directing performances of Ibsen's Ghosts and Euripides Medea, and presenting a paper entitled "Unlocking the Mysterious Disease of Ibsen's Ghosts to "Generation Y""

Workshops

The workshops were spread out over the week with the two works performed by each school in turn. The first group of photographs show our rehearsal of Ghosts and then the performance of Ghosts in the theatre. The rehearsals were conducted in our villa and also in the foyer of the theatre. Please note the classic beauty of the Casino and Theatre. During our breaks between performances and talk backs we would walk through Dimitrie Ghica Park and then down to the main street in Sinaia to the Pizzeria. Here is a photograph of our dear professor Maria S. Horne and one of me enjoying my daily expresso.
